Red Basil micro cress is known for its rich colour and making an attractive savoury garnish. For example, its intense colours and flavours make it a great ingredient to be blended into pesto. If using as a garnish, this microgreen is best added at the end of the cooking process, as it may wilt. Sprinkle this Micro Red Basil atop pasta dishes and stir fries just before serving. In addition, mix with other micro herbs to make a vibrant side salad. This cress may also be used as a garnish on canapés. It is frequently used in East Asian cuisine, as well as a vibrant garnish for soups and sandwiches. It will compliment ingredients including tomatoes, cheese, seafood, and red meats. Koppertcress suggests pairing Basil microgreens with veal, lamb, or chicken.

Taste: Also known by the name Red Rubin, this Micro Red Basil has a much stronger flavour and aroma than Green Basil. Its flavour is strong, peppery and spicy with an intense red colouring.
