Taste: Cucamelons have a very similar flavour to cucumbers and texture to melons. These are very popular to chef’s due to its novel size, unique flavour, and high productivity. Cucamelons provide a crisp, tangy, and succulent texture with flavours reminiscent of cucumbers and tart citrus.

Uses: Cucamelons can be used in both raw and cooked applications. Cucamelons are popularly used to make pickles, to be added to salsas for unique texture and flavour and can also be juiced to add flavour to cocktails or used whole as a martini garnish. In addition to raw applications, cucamelons can be sautéed and pairs well with tomatoes, chilies, citrus, pickling spices, garlic, fennel, watermelon, honeydew melon, pork belly, roasted and grilled white fish, yogurt, young mellow cheeses, cilantro, and mint.
