Buzz Button

Buzz Button
Did you know? The Latin for Buzz Button Flowers, or Toothache Plant, is Acmella oleracea.
Taste: Slightly tart grass like flavour, although eating the bud of the flower has a numbing and strong tingling effect on the mouth, the more of the buzz button consumed, the more intense and longer lasting the sensation.
Uses: Must be used sparingly, because of their intensity. Shred the edible flowers and use to enhance the flavour of sauces, soups, stir-fries, dressings and syrups. Sprinkle atop sorbet and ice cream or incorporate into a cocktail for an added kick. The tingling sensation produced is evident in both raw and cooked preparations.
Health Benefits: Contains a natural analgesic, which numbs the tongue and gums when chewed.
