Taste: Chervil produces feathery delicate green leaves that produces a liquorice flavour similar to anise. Closely related to parsley, chervil is known as the "gourmet's parsley".

Uses: Ideal for sautéed, roasted or grilled vegetable medleys. Ideal green for enhancing soups, casseroles, salads, sauces, egg dishes, omelettes, carrots, spinach, sorrel, fish and cheese creations. Chervil pairs well with eggs, fish, asparagus, potatoes, light sauces and vinegar based-sauces. Process fresh chervil with garlic, pecorino, toasted pine and olive oil into pesto and toss with hot pasta.

Health Benefits: Claiming to aid in lowering blood pressure, this herb has been used to treat eczema.
