Ginger Mint

Ginger Mint

Taste: Ginger mint is a cross between corn mint and spearmint, and smells very much like spearmint. Ginger mint herbs are a delightful addition to fresh summer melon salads, as well as warm or cool teas and lemonade. Finely chopped pieces of mint can be added to softened butter for a delicious spread. Fresh grilled meats taste great with a lemon juice and mint leaf marinade.

Uses: The leaves are used as a flavouring in salads or cooked foods. A refreshing taste, they go particularly well with melon, tomatoes and fruit salads.

Health Benefits: Ginger mint is a good source of Protein, Vitamin B6, Phosphorus and Zinc, and a very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Folate, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Copper and Manganese.
