Taste: An initial heat which does not linger on the palate, but provides a sharp cleansing note with accents of horseradish and mustard.

Uses: Mature leaves are best for cooked applications. Although, they can be used fresh or pickled. Try incorporating them into stews, casseroles, or even as a stirrer for a Bloody Mary. The Leaves can also be pickled to create a famous Japanese dish, Wasabi Zuke. Its flavour compliments ingredients such as tuna, shrimp, sesame and ginger.
