Fresh Produce Awards Presentation

On Thursday 6th June, Nurtured in Norfolk was welcomed by the Fresh Produce Consortium to their annual presentation evening at the breath taking Tower of London, where we enjoyed a networking event for the global produce industry. Many of the well-known fresh produce companies entered a record amount of categories, where there was 2 to 3 finalists for each achievement.

The FPC awards used public online voting from both their consumer and industry polls, alongside the professional opinions of hand-picked judges, founders and investors. The judges sure had their work cut out to choose winners and finalists from the high standards of entries they received.

Guests were entertained during the evening by acts and music, in addition to an exquisite 3 course meal , champagne and fine wine. The FPC had invited a former English international Cricketer, Graeme Swann to entertain all their guests for the highly prestigious awards, making the occasion both more festive and relaxed.

Nurtured in Norfolk were announced as a finalist for not just one, but two awards on the night of the event.
We may not have won ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year‘ or ‘Foodservice Supplier of the Year‘ at the FPC Fresh Produce awards 2019, but we can say we’ve come a long way in just 10 years. As a company we have never entered an award before, until the lovely Jenny Palmer, Membership Manager of the Fresh Produce Consortium, had suggested that we entered these awards, after being a follower to our social media platforms and website channel.

“Nurtured in Norfolk grow micro herbs that are strong in flavour and look appealing on the plate. Its range of micro cress has now been extended to over 70 different types. All together there are over 280 different edibles in the range” – Foodservice Supplier of the Year, Finalist 2019.

To become a finalist in one of the most well-known award ceremonies in the produce industry (and not to mention competing against some of the biggest companies in the UK, such as, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons) was a big achievement in itself and means that we are taking a leap in the right direction.

“Nurtured in Norfolk’s marketing department has only existed since October 2017 but since then the company and brand itself has come a long way. As a business it is on trend, innovative and always looking for new products and inspiration” – Marketing Campaign of the Year, Finalist 2019.

We are extremely proud of what we have accomplished and also very excited to see what is next to come for Nurtured in Norfolk.

We would like to thank all of our customers, employees and wholesalers who have truly supported us through the years and always doing it… The Nurtured Way.
