These edible flowers are used as a decorative garnish for cakes, pastries and tarts. Press the petals into cookies and biscuits for a unique decorative touch. Specialty Produce suggests to serve Dahlias alongside cheese or desserts as a floral addition. In addition, Dahlias can be used whole, or the petals can be sprinkled over a variety of fresh and cooked dishes. Similarly, you could delicately pull the petals from the flower itself and use as a raw garnish to brighten green salads, or to add a pop of colour to cakes and cocktails. Alternatively, use these edible flowers purely for decoration, add them to buttercream cakes for that beautiful floral look. Create an entire edible arrangement on your cakes using other flowers from our edible range.

Taste: Dahlia edible flowers offer a floral, sweet pea scent and has quite a crunchy texture. These Dahlias have a mild grassy taste with hints of chestnut, asparagus and carries a slight bitterness. Although, they are known for their flavour to vary from spicy apple to hints of celery and carrot.
