Pansy edible flowers are commonly used for their appearance and are a great addition to salads or as a garnish to sweet and savoury dishes. In addition, sprinkle the individual petals over salads or freeze them to create ice cubes. Also, the edible flowers can be used to add colour and subtle flavouring to cocktails or hot drinks. Pansies are best suited with a range of different herbs, including thyme, lavender and basil. Alternatively bakers use pansy flowers for decoration on a variety of sweet bakes. The different colours make for a beautiful decorative touch to any cake or bake. Similarly, try creating whole edible arrangements on your cakes from our range of flowers and leaves, press them into buttercream cakes.

Taste: Pansies have a mild, lettuce-like flavour and are entirely edible. The flowers have a crisp texture, with an added wintergreen scent and a light mint edge. Likewise, the edible flowers have also been said to hold a vegetable taste with a light mint undertone.
