Charcoal Crackers

Vegan Leanne valentines themed menu using nurtured in norfolk’s micro cress, edible flowers, edible leaves, herbs, sea veg, pea shoots and micro/baby veg.


Preheat oven to 220C

Mix four and charcoal in a mixing bowl and create a well in the centre

Add the water a bit at a time and stir until a dough forms. Add more water or flour if needed.

Roll the dough between parchment paper so you don’t need to add white flour to the outside of the cracker which would affect it’s appearance.

Roll as thin as you can! They are not nice if too thick.

Bake for 12-15 minutes


  • Wholewheat Flour (plain flour if you don't want the speckled effect) (100g)
  • Activated Charcoal Powder (I just emptied capsules from a health food store) (3-4 tsp)
  • Water (70ml)
  • Coarsley Ground Sea Salt (Pinch)
