Max Davies

I have only been cooking around a year. Growing up I was a fussy eater and my best friend used to make me try new food, and I realised I liked everything! Going to some very nice restaurants with her and her family and seeing that food wasn’t just about getting fed, but a completely different process to what I thought. I loved the plating side of it – having been into art all my life. Now I can’t imagine not cooking, it’s taken over my life. I came back from travelling and was jobless for 3 months, I was watching MasterChef Aus and just thought why not apply I probably won’t hear back, and now I am on MasterChef 2020!!!

I love using Nurtured in Norfolk for all my micros. They really make my dishes come together and transform my dishes when plating. My favourites to use are Nasturtium Leaves and Butterfly Sorrel.
