Born and bred in London, Michelle knew from an early age that she had a special relationship with food. After finishing school at 16, she immediately applied and was accepted to the acclaimed Westminster Culinary Arts College. After graduating from College after 3 years she had already been trained in some of London’s best known establishments including The Savoy and Claridges.
After completing her education, Michelle went on to work in restaurants under highly respected chefs, including under the hot tempered but renowned, Johnnie Mountain and the well respected, Tom Pemberton of Hereford Road.
Michelle spent years at the one Michelin starred restaurant La Trompette under the acclaimed Bruce Poole, being part of their team both before and after gaining their respectable Michelin star accolade. Michelle has also spent time being a personal private chef and has catered for lords, royalty, fashion designers, former Prime Ministers and local families under her own brand Minklez.
Michelle is currently Head Chef of Hospitality/Fine Dining for Mckinsey & Company’s London office.
Now, after consistently delivering high standards to a variety of guests through the years and developing her own style along the way, she is ready to start Myristica, a small and intimate Supperclub where her heritage of the Caribbean is reflected throughout the menu. Michelle’s well thought out dishes are designed to excite, stimulate and intrigue.
