Chinese Amaranth Passion edible leaves are used in traditional Chinese cuisine. Use it raw, sautéed, steamed, or braised in a range of recipes. A common use of this edible leaf is within stir-fries, soups and as a fresh bed in salads. When cooked, Amaranth leaves will release a red colour, making it an interesting ingredient for your culinary creations. The Chinese Passion edible leaves are often cooked with garlic and stir fried with water to make it into a vegetable soup. In addition, within Indian cuisine the edible leaves make a great ingredient to a spicy curry or can be eaten with flatbread. Whenever a recipe calls for spinach, Amaranth Chinese Passion leaves are a great substitute, this is due to their likeness in flavour.

Taste: Chinese Amaranth Passion leaves are extremely rich in vitamins and nutrients. As a vegetable, the taste is very similar to spinach, if not a bit heartier in texture and flavour.
