Infuse hot drinks, cocktails and mocktails with Blackcurrant Sage edible flowers. They also make a great afternoon herbal tea (commonly known as “mirot de montes”). These decorative flowers add a tasty hint of blackcurrant flavour to many culinary preparations and drinks. Use the petals in oils, vinegars and butters to make a vibrant addition to salads and pâtés. Delicately pull the fresh flowers from the stem and use them as a garnish or for decoration on desserts such as, cakes, chocolate and lollipops.

Taste: Blackcurrant Sage, also known as Salvia Microphylla or Salvia Hot Lips has a wonderfully strong scent of sweet blackcurrant. It has a nectar-rich taste and is bursting with notes of citrus and mint. The nectar is at the bottom of the tube of the flower, which is pleasantly sweet and can be used to flavour food and drinks. It has a slight mint edge to the sage flavour, adding a fresh summer taste to your dishes and bakes.
