Pineapple Sage edible leaves are best suited for raw culinary applications, since they lose their flavour if cooked at high temperatures. They have a much stronger pineapple aroma and flavour profile when used as a fresh edible garnish. Rich in flavour, it is important to remember that a little goes a long way with this edible leaf. In addition, steep in hot water for a fruity tea or chop up the edible herb and use in fruity cocktails and smoothies. Finely chop the leaves and add to cold soups, or salsas. Furthermore, the leaves have also been known to add a pineapple scent to baked goods, such as scones, breads or muffins. Use this citrus flavoured herb in marinades, vinaigrettes and sauces also. These edible leaves pair well with meats such as chicken, turkey and duck, because of its classic bold taste.

Taste: Pineapple Sage edible leaf is true to its name as its aromatics and flavours reflect both the aroma of pineapple and the intense savouries of sage. Both the leaves and the flowers offer a slightly bitter, citrusy and mint flavour.
