Sweet Cicely edible leaves can be a replacement for refined sugars, due to the sweetness of the leaves. This makes it perfect for stewing with tart fruits such as gooseberries, rhubarb and blackcurrants. In addition, why not try and use their sweetness to make your own ‘Schnapps’. Furthermore, combine the Sweet Cicely edible leaves with Vodka. Although sweet in flavour they do also work well in savoury preparations, such as salads, stir fries, soups and omelettes. These edible leaves are best used on celebratory cakes, tray bakes and cupcakes, but can also be used as a garnish on savoury appetisers and in cocktails. Add a natural look to your bakes with these edible leaves, a style that happens to be trending at the moment. Due to their sweet and delicate leaves, this decorative herb is best used with a range of tart and citrus flavoured fruits.

Taste: Sweet Cicely is an herb that has a vague anise-like aroma and mildly sweet anise taste.
