Tiny Tagete flowers are best used as a garnish for sweet dishes. However, they can be used to garnish savoury starters, salads and canapés. As they are smaller than the traditional Marigold flower, they are great for smaller cakes and bakes. Try garnishing cupcakes and delicate pastries with the whole Tiny Marigold flower. Alternatively, decorate a larger celebration cake with the petals. In larger cakes the vibrant orange and yellow colours work well with other edible flowers. This includes larger Tagetes, Dianthus, Roses and Violas. Perfect for buttercream and naked cakes of any occasion including birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. Just like lots of other edible flowers, Tiny Tagetes work well as a garnish for drinks too. The flower can be used whole, or the petals can be pulled off the stem and floated on drinks.
