Greek Basil micro cress works well with many classic pairings. The mild and sweet characteristics of Green Basil make it ideal for incorporating into sweet applications. This micro herb compliments flavours such as blueberries, strawberries, apricot, pineapple, nectarines, peaches, watermelon, vanilla, lemon verbena, coconut, honey, ginger, cinnamon and white chocolate. Greek Basil cress also works with fruity and traditional cocktails like mojitos, gimlets or martinis. Like most microgreens, Micro Basil is intended for raw preparations, specifically as a garnish, as the delicate leaves will wilt if exposed to prolonged heat in the kitchen. Specialty Produce suggests to use this micro herb to float atop of soups and curries. In addition, use as an edible garnish for baked goods, pizza and desserts.

Taste: Greek basil is the preferred variety for making a classic pesto sauce, as this micro green offers a milder and sweeter version of that balance between citrus, pepper and mild anise. Offering a soft, crisp, succulent and tender consistency.
