Taste: Greek Cress is a variety of garden cress, with thin and attractive leaves. It possesses a sweet, nutty flavour, with then a slightly spicy kick, and a lingering peppery taste. It also presents the same pungent spice as watercress. This aroma is refreshing and peppery. Although, the peppery flavour of the cress only lasts a few seconds, making it a very enjoyable ingredient.

Uses: Greek cress can be used as a garnish and as an ingredient in cold summer dishes. For example, it can be used as a leaf in summer salads, wraps and sandwiches. Or, it can even be added to smoothies for additional nutrients and a kick of flavour! Greek cress has been found to be hotter and spicier when exposed to heat. Try tossing Greek cress through a cooked stir fry, right at the end of the cooking process, for an added mustard punch. Greek cress can also be added as a garnish on savoury canapés, starters and mains. Greek Micro Cress appears in Peter Gordons cook book 'salads' with beer battered oysters.
