Did you know that Sea Beet, also known as Wild Spinach is a distant relative of Chard, Beetroot and Sugar Beet. The salty taste of Sea Beet is at its strongest when it is lightly boiled, blanched, steamed or wilted. In addition, this Sea Vegetable is just as nice when eaten raw. It can also be used in all manners of dishes, with soups, tarts and most traditionally salads. They have a superior flavour, texture and nutrient content when compared to other Sea Vegetables. Sea beet is considered a great addition for many seafood dishes, such as fish, shellfish and sushi. Furthermore, Wild Spinach is great as a vegetable on its own or mixed into salads and soups.

Taste: Sea Beet Sea Veg tastes very similar to spinach but is fairly superior, especially when cooked. Wild Food UK notes that the roots taste sweet and can be used like sweet potato. Its taste is earthy and salty with a strong texture.
