Also known by the name Dame’s Violet, Sweet Rocket edible flowers can be used as a sweet and savoury garnish. Garnish meat dishes, hot drinks and cocktails with this dainty flower. Their vibrant colour and sweet, perfume scent makes them a great garnish for salads too. Toss the edible flowers in whole, or pick the petals of and sprinkle atop salad leaves. Sweet Rocket petals may also be pushed into biscuits, or buttercream cakes. The vibrant purple colour of the edible flower also means they work well when crystallised. Try crystallising these edible flowers and use them to decorate ice creams and desserts.

Taste: Sweet Rocket is very fragrant and has delicate, lilac petals. Being part of the mustard family, it has a mild lettuce flavour.
