Wasabi edible leaves have a spicy flavour and is best suited for both cooked and raw culinary preparations, but we recommend for the leaves to be used in cooked applications. Wilt the greens into pastas, curries and BBQ dishes, or even place a top of pizzas, noodles and omelettes. In addition, the edible leaves can also be pickled to create a famous Japanese dish, ‘Wasabi Zuke’. Try incorporating Wasabi Leaves into stews, casseroles, or even as a stirrer for a unique spin on the classic Bloody Mary cocktail. Its horseradish flavour pairs well with seafood such as crabs, scallops, salmon, bass and tuna. Also meats including poultry, prosciutto, sausage and bacon. Wasabi leaves also compliments ingredients such as dill, sorrel, cucumbers, garlic and ginger.

Taste: Wasabi edible leaves have an initial heat which does not linger on the palate, but provides a sharp cleansing note with accents of horseradish and mustard. The greens are also referred to as Japanese Horseradish.
