Butterfly Sorrel micro cress is also known as Flowering Shamrock, Wood Sorrel or Oxalis. Available in Red, Green and Bronze, the vibrant colour is best preserved when used in raw applications. Its colour offers contrast and a bright lemony flavour to foods when used as garnish. Micro Oxalis flavour is best complemented when paired with crustaceans, shellfish, vegetable and fish dishes. In addition, add to sauces, soups, salads, greens, beans, or peas for a refreshing taste. When using the whole stem of the Butterfly Sorrel, the micro edible leaves can be gently positioned to look like butterfly wings. It is also known to become more popular around St. Patricks day for its shamrock resemblance.

Taste: Butterfly Sorrel Micro Cress comes in a variety of colours. The stems and leaves have a subtle lemon flavour with sharp tart undertones. Its taste can be described as sour and acidic with a distinct beet flavour.
