Mushroom edible leaves can be eaten raw but are best suited cooked culinary applications. Cape Gazette notes that the longer you cook the leaves, the stronger the earthy flavour will be. So it is the perfect herb for foods with a long cooking time, such as soups and stews. You can also use the leaves like any salad green, top sandwiches with the leaves or add them to stir fries. In addition, add the edible leaves anywhere you want to add the mushroom flavour without the mushroom texture. Blend the herbs to make a Mushroom puree and add to a variety of sauces and marinades to give an earthy flavour.

Taste: Better known as a Mushroom Herb, Rungia Klossii really tastes like mushrooms. This bushy plant has deep green, glossy and thick edible leaves with a crisp and crunchy texture. This plant gives you all the flavour of mushrooms, without the need to actually grow the mushrooms yourself.
