Specialty Produce states that Bunched Savory has been used as a culinary herb for centuries, in both fresh and dried forms. It is often combined in herb blends such as poultry seasoning. It stands up especially well to rich meats that have been grilled, stewed or smoked, as well as grilled portabella mushrooms. Due to its essential oils, it is sometimes used in the formulations of bitters. Pair our Savory with seafood, lamb, beef, poultry, potatoes, dried beans, lentils, tomatoes, garlic, and fresh cheeses (especially goat).

Taste: Bunched Savory is an underused herb that offers the amalgamation of thyme, rosemary and sage. Savory has smooth edible leaves that have an oregano and thyme like fragrance and warming flavour, similar to the notes of majoram, thyme and mint. The pleasing aromas of this herb have made it a culinary staple throughout Europe and an ingredient of essential oils. Masterclass notes that the flavour is more subdued and earthy, compared to Summer Savory.
