Sea Lettuce Sea Veg is best used fresh, however, it can also can be preserved and dried. This Sea Vegetable is usually found in dishes such as soup, vegetarian meals and in seasonings too. Fresh Seaweed can be cooked, Specialty Produce suggests to lightly simmer with Soy Sauce for 30 minutes, then mix with oil and finely sliced Baby Carrots and serve as a side dish for meat and fish dishes. In addition, mix the leaves with salt and onions to create a dumpling filling. Sea Lettuce is best paired with ethnic foods, sauces and stews. Furthermore, Seaweed is great as a vegetable on its own, or mixed into salads and soups.

Taste: Sea Lettuce Sea Veg has a salty and strong ocean flavour and aroma. Edible Seaweed is great raw and tends to have a slightly bitter taste when cooked. It's known to have a strong umami flavour with bitter and nutty notes.
