Thai Pandan edible leaves are great for cooked applications including boiling, steaming, sautéing and frying. Furthermore, Thai Pandan edible leaves can also be wrapped and deep fried to create a crunchy texture. The leaves are used in sweet and savoury dishes to bring out their nutty flavour. In addition to savoury preparations, Pandan leaves are also used make desserts and cocktails. Specialty Produce notes that they can be made into a paste with the juice extracted to make the well-known chiffon cake, and can be cooked to make ‘Kaya’. Which is a traditional Pandan dish found in Malaysia and Singapore. Thai Pandan Leaves pair well with other aromatic herbs such as, turmeric and lemongrass.Use the Pandan leaves to compliment the flavours of meats including fish, chicken, beef and pork.
